WHAT IS A MOXI LASER TREATMENT?
Moxi delivers non-ablative laser energy to correct signs of sun damage and ageing, resurfacing the skin to improve texture, fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is safe for any time of year and works on the majority of skin tones. Moxi is a laser treatment that fits into your active lifestyle because it has little-to-no downtime and simple aftercare – just stay out of the sun. And makeup can be applied 24 hours after treatment. This next-generation laser therapy is suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types I-V; unfortunately, it is not suitable for type VI nor suntanned type V.
MOXI IS A NON-ABLATIVE LASER, BUT WHAT IS A NON-ABLATIVE LASER?
Ablative lasers remove the top layer of your skin, and have a higher degree of risk, as well as (understandably) a longer recovery period. But this is not the case with non-ablative lasers like Moxi; non-ablative lasers heat up underlying skin tissue to kickstart the body into producing more collagen. This is why downtime with Moxi is so minimal – just stay out of the sun! Quickly and safely, Moxi’s non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation can improve the texture of your skin and the appearance of wrinkles, brown spots, pigmentation, and minor scars.
HOW DOES MOXI WORK?
Moxi delivers fractionated laser energy to create micro-coagulation zones in your skin, which the body then repairs; replacing damaged cells with fresh, new cells.
HOW COMFORTABLE IS THE TREATMENT?
Depending on the level of treatment provided, most patients find the treatment tolerable. You will wear safety goggles throughout this treatment. At The Clinic Holland Park, we use an anaesthetic cream we have had specially formulated for this procedure, to ensure your treatment is as comfortable as possible.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
Results vary depending on your treatment goals. On the day following your treatment, your skin may appear red and, depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots (called MENDZ) where the laser was applied. As the micro zones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Within 3-5 days the MENDZ will slough off, revealing the renewed skin beneath.
WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?
Because Moxi is a non-ablative laser treatment, the aftercare is simple: stay out of the sun, and wear a moisturising physical sunscreen of SPF 30+ (with the active ingredient titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, or both). You may wear makeup 24 hours after your treatment.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
This will depend on your treatment goals and level of skin damage. Most patients receive 3-4 corrective treatments initially; then sign up for regular maintenance treatments throughout the year. You can pair up Moxi with injectables for even better results – just ask your clinician for advice and guidance.

Yes. Our prêt-à-porter packages are for the face, neck, chest and hands. Bespoke treatments (to include, say, lower legs or forearms) can be discussed with your clinician at your consultation.
